Amalfi Coast ($38 /N8,000 for 0.33oz/9.4g) is a warm-toned palette that combines shimmery and matte eye shadows. According to the brand, “each compact contains a variety of luxurious finishes- sheer sparkle, satin, shimmer and matte- offering a spectrum of intensity and effects that deliver incredible long lasting colour.”
The quad contains…
Shimmering Sand: is a light gold with gold sparkle with a velvet-satin finish. Can be worn light for sheer coverage or packed on for fuller coverage (it looks more gold this way.
Shimmering Forest: is a shimmery medium green.
Shimmering Copper is a shimmery red brown-copper shade
Matte Chocolate Brown: the shade name pretty much says it all. A beautiful dark chocolate brown. I love that it is dark enough for my outer corner and even a brown smokey eye
You already know how I feel about the packaging, its absolutely gorgeous like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow LOL. Me likey a lot. The quad cones with a full mirror and 2 sponge applicators.
All 4 shades have a soft smooth texture. Application and blending came easy thanks to the texture. I also like that you can create complete looks with this palette; from the highlight to the contour and lid shades. I also like that this palette includes shades you would need to recreate signature Sam Fine looks; The light almost flesh tones gold all over the lid and a chocolate brown for the contour.
I’d rank this quad in the high end category at $38 /N8,500 for 0.33oz/9.4g. But for the quality and quantity of the product I’d say it’s a pretty decent deal. MAC eye shadow quads retail for $40 for 5.6 g / 0.19 US oz and Sleek Makeup iDivine palettes retail for $9.99 for 13.2g/0.36oz. So down the g that makes MAC $7.14/g, Sam Fine for Fashion Fair $4.04/g and Sleek Makeup 0.76/g. Ok enough with the math Sam Fine for Fashion Fair quads are cheaper than MAC (by near 50%) but more expensive than Sleek Makeup I divine palettes.
I ordered mine straight from Fashion Fair as part of my bulk order so If you are in Nigeria and you want to get your hands on one call me 😉
Overall:
I got this palette without thinking twice because I am a hopeless Sam Fine fan still I think its good value for your money. Beautiful packaging, beautiful shades, everyday shades, good colour pay off, and good price. No regrets here, I love pulling out this gorgeous quad to touch up lipstick (in public; yes I’m that shallow LOL).
