Product Review: NYX Eyeshadow Base

This product is available in three shades; white, w/pearl and skin tone. I got the white and w/pearl.

They say:
“To get maximum colour and impact from NYX eye shadows a quality base is essential. Apply to eyelids and see NYX eye shadow pigments jump! Eye shadow base firmly holds all powders all night long.”… nyxcosmetics.com

The  ESB01 (white) for “100x more vivid color”, is a milky white matte base.
The ESB02 for “100x brightening effect” is a light shimmery white base.
ESB01 white and ESB02 (Applied with a brush)
ESB01 white and ESB02 (Blended)

Verdict:
Thumbs Up
Its costs $6.99 for 7g which is a lot compared to some other brands. Just a little product is needed and it’s easy to blend. I haven’t noticed a difference between the performance of the 2 shades but they make for even and vibrant eye shadow applications even with poorly pigmented eye shadows.
Thumbs Down:
These are not crease proof products. They both crease after about 6 hours, the ESB01 White more than the ESB02 Pearl. They come in small glass jars which are cute but make it near impossible to use your finger if you keep long nails.

If you need a base for long wear, I suggest you wear a layer of crease proof primer under these bases.

TTFN!

    Hey Pwetty Bambi,
Glad to be of service, LOL!
I still like them though, they do a good job of making eye shadow "Pop!"
