Verdict:The Makeup Forever empty magnetic palette retails for 8,80 €. This makes it one of the cheaper empty palettes on the market. The thin magnetic sheet in the tin’s base allows metal pans stick to it and hold firm.
This palette fits 24 Makeup Forever eye shadows; please note that MUFE eye shadows (pictured below) come in pans larger than most other brands, if you use this Mac eye shadows you could fit a lot more than 24 eye shadows in it. I have traveled with this palette and have not broken any eye shadows in the process.
The palette is made of a thin metal and is painted black. Because the metal is so thin, it is not dent proof (even though mine hasn’t dented yet) . The black paint on the palette can scrap off if it meets friction. I once (rather stupidly) packed mine with a nail file and lost the paint on one of its corners as a result :-(. I also noticed that Mac eye shadow refills do not stick to these as well as some other brands do, if you buy this for Mac eye shadows you will need to get little magnets to stick to them or some kind of glue.

This is a pro tool, it’s only sold in Makeup Forever stores and pro stores that carry MUFE products. You will not find these at Sephora.
When it comes right down to it, I really like this palette. It’s nice and flat and saves tons of space. It’s really easy to put products in and out so I can customize it for certain jobs/vacation and only take what I need. It’s really affordable, plus Makeup Forever offers a 40% Pro discount :-). I have two of these now and will probably get more as my kit grows 🙂

Is this the XL? I'm thinking of getting the large because the XL is so big! How many reguarly sized (MUG, UD, MAC) shadows can the XL fit? Thank you!
