BM Pro Eye shadow in “Masquerade”
Like I mentioned in my haul post, if you are familiar with the work of Banke Meshida Lawal then you have seen this shade in action. It’s a dark gold velvet smooth shimmery shade. It comes in a 2g pack that retails for N2,000 (approx. €10)
Swatches:
Heavy, then blended out |
BM Pro High Intensity Pigment in HD Bronze
Super sparkly golden brown pigment. It looks really sparkly if you apply it heavy but it has very little binding to it so it can very easily be brushed off. For best results, apply over an eye shadow base or mixing medium. It comes in a 3g pack that retails for N2,500 (approx. €12)
Swatches:
Applied alone. |
Applied with MAC mixing medium |
BM Pro Paint in “Bright Brown”
A matte dark brown shade with gold sparkle. Decent pigmentation but not as intense as it looks in the pack. For best results apply with an eye shadow base or mixing medium. It comes in a 2g pack that retails for N4,000 (approx. €19). Yes, I know what you are probably thinking, I find the pricing a little funny too. Its like the prettier the shade the more it costs…
Swatches:
Applied alone
Applied with MAC mixing medium |
Verdict
“Masquerade” definitely has the best pigmentation of the three. This shade comes off as intense as it looks in the pack, velvet smooth and easy to blend.
“HD Bronze”is a pretty shade but its doesn’t stay on so much unless you wear it on another eye shadow, an eye shadow base or mixing medium. It gets a lot darker with a mixing medium though.
“Bright Brown” is cute too but not as intense as it is in the pack unless applied with a base or mixing medium. It’s also the kind of eye shadow you might have to loosen with the end of you brush, maybe it’s over pressed or something.
In all, I don’t regret these purchases but for the price, I expected better performance from “Bright Brown” and “HD Bronze”.

I totally agree with you. I like her products too but they are quite pricey, also one retail point is certainly not enough.
