NOTD: Purple Glitter in Gel Nail Art

So in an attempt not to carry last in the gel nail revolution, I purchased a gel nail trail kit from IBD and got to work. My 1st design is pretty simple; large purple glitter fading into large iridescent glitter…

For these nails I used nail dehydrator, nail glue and clear stiletto nail tips from Peggy Sage Paris, bonder, Clear builder gel, Clear gel and Cleanse plus from ibd, purple and iridescent glitter from Reflections (Micheal’s).

I prepped my nails: filed and dehydrated the nail surface then applied the nail tips. Next I cut and filled the tips to shape and filled away the shinny surface (you have to do this so the gel can stick)
I started the gel application with the bonder, then a thin layer of Clear gel, applied the glitter, Builder gel and the Clear gel again curing the nails in a UV lamp in between every layer.
File and buff to shape and finish with a coat of Clear gel (for a top coat).

Totally loving gel nails ladies, they are softer and easier to file and the shine is second to none!
