For these nails I used nail prep products, nail glue, clear competition nail tips and Pink camouflage acrylic powder from Peggy Sage, acrylic liquid from Ez Flow, clear acrylic powder from Star nails, Silver shatter glitter purchased in Lagos market (Balogun), and UV gel top coat.
1st I prepared my nails; filed them dehydrated the nail surface and applied a nail primer.
Then I applied the nail tips and filed them into almond shapes.
On the plain nails I simply covered the entire nail with pink camouflage powder and liquid.
On the nails with the silver I applied a mix of the clear powder and shatter glitter with liquid to the tip of my nails, allowing it to fade in towards my cuticle and covered it with a thin layer of clear powder. To the rest of the nail I applied the pink camouflage powder, allowing to fade into the clear powder at the tip.
File and buff to shape and follow with a coat of UV gel top coat and 2mins in a UV lamp.
I think they turned out pretty well. I would have used a warmer pink cover powder but had to settle for this one. Anyone know a good pink medium/full cover powder for dark skin tones?
I absolutely love these nails, really glad I tried it. It works well for everyday and I think a bride could rock these too. What do you think?
