Here is my DIY gel nails take 2. This set turned out a lot better than my 1st. I’m definitely getting used to working with gel. This time I went for slightly sharper stilettos and sparse glitter in a diagonal formation…
For these nails I used nail dehydrator, nail glue and clear stiletto nail tips from Peggy Sage Paris, bonder, Clear builder gel, Clear gel and Cleanse plus from ibd, iridescent mylar glitter from the Peggy Sage Paris Neon Glitter tower.
Here is the break down…
-1st of all I prepped my nails: filed and dehydrated the nail surface.
-Then I applied the clear nail tips.
-Next I cut and filled the tips to shape and filled away the shinny surface
-I started the gel application with the bonder, then a thin layer of Clear gel.
-Before curing the 1st layer of gel I applied the glitter in the desired design. This allows you to move the glitter around as you wish. Once happy with the design I cured the nails, sealing the design in place before the next layer of gel.
-Over the design I applied Builder gel, cured it and then clear gel again.
-I cleaned the sticky surface with cleaner plus and filed my nails to shape
-Finally I topped the nails off with a layer of gel top coat.
All done, and I’m loving it.
Have you tried gel nails yet?

I love glitter, i find that they shine even more in gel than they do in acrylics. You should try it 😉
