Naija hair Can Grow Salon Day Out 2015

I spent my Sunday at Naija Hair Can Grow’s 2015 “Salon Day Out” event at the Oriental Hotel in Victoria Island. I attended the event last year and had a great time so when I heard about this year’s edition at the new venue (the Oriental Hotel VI) I had to sign up to be a part of it.

With Dabs the brains behind Naija Hair can grow & Savvy & Chic (makeup by me but more on that later 😉

The 2015 Salon Day Out was a huge success with emphasis on “huge”. The turn out was incredible. We filled the venue to the point were it was practically impossible to get around without bumping into each other.

Shalewa of Olumakeovers & Beauty Kink
Ez of Beauty in Lagos
Yewande of She loves the finer things
I shamelessly stalked Dupe (@tasalahq)for dets on her hair colour OMG! Major hair envy

The event featured a panel of hair enthusiasts and professionals who shared their hair journeys, tips & tricks and hair mistakes they made along the way. Live hair styling demos by profession hair stylists like Kemi Lewis of KL Naturals and Patrick Omale of Patrick’s Beauty Zone and a natural hair styling competition “The Battle of the Hairlistas”.
Yes that is all her hair…

Also at the event were hair and beauty vendors offering products and services so of course we were there live and direct offering products and services as we do at our studio in Lekki (I was so busy I totally forgot to get a picture of our stand *covers face).
When I finally got the chance to check out the other vendors, I was especially glad to see many interesting Nigerian skin care/hair care lines. I picked up a few items from them and can’t wait to they them out.

I was busy at our booth for most of the event but I managed to slip away long enough to pick up a few items for myself..
