Eyebrows 101: The Remix

After my first eyebrow tutorial, I got a few messages from readers who still didn’t understand what I was doing, so I decided to do another one. In the first one I included some do’s and don’ts but this one will be a clean cut step buy step “how to”.
This is how “I”do my brows, you may want to skip some steps if they don’t suit you.
If your brows are in good shape you can skip to “Part 3″and if you want brows that look like they have not been touched you should skip “Part 3 Step 2 and/ step 3.
The Tools:
A stencil (optional), tweezers (optional), a brown brow pencil, a white pencil, a loose natural fiber brush, a small synthetic angular brush, a brow brush, concealer and light colored eye shadow.
Part 1. The out line:

Step 1 the guidelines
Place the tail of your brush at the corner of your nose straight up to your brow and make a mark with the white pencil. This is where your brow should start.
Looking straight ahead, place the tail of your brush at the corner of your nose at a diagonal to pass the corner of your pupil and make a mark where it meets your brow. This is where the highest point of your brow arch should be.
Finally place the brush tail by the corner of your nose past the corner of your eye and make a mark where it meets your brow. This is where your brow should end
Step 2 the outline:

Place the stencil over your brow; make sure the highest point of the arch is aligned with the mark you made above. And with the white pencil fill in brow shape of the stencil. If needed (as in my case) extend the beginning and end of the shape to meet the marks we made in Step 1. Take your time make them as symmetric as possible.
If you don’t have a stencil just draw the shape you want with the white pencil.

Part 2 Hair removal.

Choose a hair removal method that suits you. I listed some of them in my previous brow tutorial. I usually tweeze unless I’m in a rush in which case I use a brow trimmer (blade). St this point all you need to do is remove all the hairs that fall outside the white brow shape.
Part 3 Complement what you have to get what you want.
Step 1: The fill in a.k.a the cover up:

With a pencil/eye shadow in a shade close to the color of your hair (you can go darker or lighter by about 2 shades), fill in your brows with light hair like strokes to get the shape you want. Next brush through with your brow brush to even out the color and get ride of any excesses.
Step 2: The Sculpt

In this step you use the angular brush and concealer to outline the bottom of your brow shape, you can do the same at the top but with foundation in your shade. After you8 have done this blend out with your finger to remove harsh lines.

Step 3: The Highlight

With the loose natural fiber brush and a light shade of eyeshadow (matte or shimmery but not metallic for an everyday look) highlight your brow bone.
That’s it Eye brows a la Stella!
